Hybrid ARAS/SFSP Programs
Some At-Risk/Summer Feeding (ARAS/SFSP) programs need the flexibility to track walk-ins and carry a light enrollment roster, as well as track per-child meal counts. We refer to this set of needs as Hybrid ARAS/SFSP.
What Does Hybrid ARAS/SFSP Look Like?
When you set up a ARAS or SFSP site to be Hybrid model:
- Sites may enroll children with a lightweight model that only captures First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth. First Name is the only required field.

- While taking attendance and meal counts for a program meal, sites can use the +Add Walk-In feature to quickly add walk-ins that do not live on the enrolled roster. Walk-ins are flagged on the attendance list.

- Sites take meal counts per-child and per-meal instead of by age group. Sites can filter the roster (complete with prior walk-ins) by time last seen, helping to keep current rosters clean and easy to navigate.

- SFSP sites gain access to a pop-up roster and can also minimally enroll children and record walk-ins where needed.
