[Children](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/independent-center/children?hsLang=en) # Import Children If you have a large amount of children to enroll, you can enroll in bulk using the Import tool. Your  You must have the **Child Enrollment** permission enabled on your account to add participants.  1. From the menu to the left, click **Children** and select **List Children**. 2. On the Import page, click the **Download Template & Instructions** link to download an Excel template and the accompanying instructions for completing the template. ![Centers - Import - Template Download](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/Centers%20-%20Import%20-%20Template%20Download.png?width=688&height=308&name=Centers%20-%20Import%20-%20Template%20Download.png) Here are some important guidelines: - - **Headers:** All headers in the template you downloaded must remain the same as provided. Changing these headers will prevent your import from completing successfully. - **Required Fields:** Any fields highlighted in red on both the template and the import instructions are required information for enrolling children.  - **Restricted Values:** Some fields will only accept a specific value. For example, the **Guardian\_Type** field only accepts one of the following: Mother, Father, or Other. Fields like this are set up as drop-downs within the template, so you can easily select the value you need. Return to KidKare and access the Import page again. 6. Click **Browse** and navigate to the location in which you stored your import sheet. 7. Select the sheet and click **Open**. 8. Once your import processes, the Import Preview page displays. Carefully review the information on this page to ensure that the data you entered is mapped correctly.  - Click **View Another Record** to review another record in your import, if needed. - If there are errors, click **Cancel Import**, make corrections to your spreadsheet, and begin the import again. ![Centers - Import - Preview](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/Centers%20-%20Import%20-%20Preview.png?width=688&height=311&name=Centers%20-%20Import%20-%20Preview.png) 10. When you're ready to proceed, click **Finalize Import**. Lastly, click the **Review KidKare Records** button to return to the **List Children** page and review the records you imported. Update any information, as needed.
