    1. Record Attendance Date/Time Limitations - This field controls when your center staff are allowed to mark meals and attendance:

      • None - This option leaves meals and attendance open so centers can mark children as fed at any time for any day up until the claim is submitted to the state. This option should only be used if there are paper documents that were completed during point of service that are being entered into KidKare after the fact.

      • By End of Day - This option leaves meals and attendance open so centers can mark children as fed at any time for the current day.  Once the day is over, they will not be able to go back and make adjustments to previous days.  Only the account holder will have access to make adjustments. This option should only be used if there are paper documents that were completed during point of service that are being entered into KidKare after the fact.

      • During Meal Service Times - This option allows center to enter meals and attendance at the time of meal service only.  The times are base off of the meal service times selected in the CACFP Meals section of the Site Details. If a meal is scheduled to be served from 11am-12pm, centers will be able to mark meals at 11am, and at 12:01 pm they will not be able to mark meals anymore.  This options forces the centers to be in compliance with USDAs requirement to mark meals and attendance during point of service only. This is the recommended setting.

      • By end of Week - This option leaves meals and attendance open so centers can mark children as fed at any time for the current week.  Once the week is over, they will not be able to go back and make adjustments to this week.  Only the account holder will have access to make adjustments.  This option should only be user if there are paper documents that were completed during point of service that are being entered into KidKare after the fact.

    2. Prevent Centers from using Select-All in Record Attendance - Toggle this to Yes  if you want to remove the option for your centers to be able to click Select All on the Attendance & Meal Counts screen.  The Select All option allows your center users to quick mark all kids in attendance as fed with one button.

  4. Once you have adjusted the settings, click Save.

No matter how the meal service restrictions are set, note that meals and attendance can never be marked in advance to the meal service time.  Only during or after depending on you settings.
