If you have not already updated your users and assigned them roles, you can find more information on how to do that here. You will need to update your user's roles before assigning them to a classroom. 

All Classrooms

If you have already created classrooms within Food Program then the classrooms and assigned children will automatically sync between domains. Staff roles will not automatically sync between Parachute & Food Program and will need to be updated here first.  

As an admin user, you have access to the All Classrooms section, where you can create new classrooms and manage the children and staff assigned to each one.

 


Add Classroom

To create a new classroom click in the upper right hand corner of your screen. 

After you've added the above information, click Add Classroom. You should see your new classroom populate in your classroom list. 

To Delete a classroom click on the classroom you would like to delete in the list of classrooms, click in the upper right hand corner of the screen, and then click Delete Classroom.

You cannot delete classroom that has children assigned to it. To delete a classroom, assign children to a new classroom or mark them Unassigned first.


Assigning Staff to Classrooms

To assign Staff to a classroom, click on the Classroom you would like to update in the Classroom list, then click in the upper right hand corner of the screen. In the Staff section, click

Here you will see a dropdown of all staff who have been assigned Teacher (With Comms) or Teacher (No Comms) roles. 

Users assigned an Admin role do not need to be assigned to a classroom, as they will automatically have access to all classrooms and child data.


Assigning Children to Classrooms

There are multiple ways you can assign children to classrooms

Unassigned Children

On the All Classrooms page you will see a section titled Unassigned Children. Children in this section have either never been assigned to a classroom, or are assigned to the None classroom within Food program.  

To assign a child from this section click  ,  then. From here you will see a dropdown of all of your classrooms. Select the classroom you would like to assign this child to. After you've finished, click .

From the Classroom Page

You are also able to assign or reassign children to classrooms from a selected Classroom. Click in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then within the Children section. 

Here you will see a dropdown of all active children and which Classroom they are currently assigned to. Select all applicable children, then click Assign.

You can also reassign children by clicking on the classroom name in the assigned column. Any updated children will be reassigned after you click .

From the Child Profile

You are also able to assign children to classrooms from the Child Profile by clicking the Classroom dropdown. 

After updating the classroom click . You will be given the option to update this child's assigned classroom within Food Program. You may select if this child eats in a different classroom then where they spend the rest of their day.
