Sponsors of Homes

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where reprinting a check from Payment History showed the check header but was missing all detail information such as meal counts, claim amounts, and reimbursement breakdowns. The underlying data has been repaired and checks now reprint correctly.
  • Fixed an issue in the Child Attendance Reconciliation Report (5-Day) where drop-off/pick-up schedule times and actual attendance in/out times were printing on top of each other for children who had attendance recorded but no claimed meals, making the report difficult to read.
  • Fixed an issue where geo-location data (start location) was missing from a portion of reviews completed through the KidKare review tool, causing the Start-End Distance column to appear blank or show 0.00 in Review Discrepancies reports.
  • Home sponsors can now add new parent or guardian contacts for children while observing a provider's account, restoring the "+ Add another contact" button that was previously missing in the sponsor observation view.
  • A new sponsor-level setting (Policy J.017) has been added that allows sponsoring organizations to choose whether a provider's own infant meals are disallowed when no daycare children are present at mealtime.
  • Home sponsors can once again select custom start and end dates for a provider's school eligibility period when editing school information under the Tiering tab, restoring the ability to enter specific day-level dates rather than being locked to the first of the month.
  • Fixed an issue where additional children approved under a provider's PM Snack capacity settings (such as foster children or over-capacity exceptions) were not being counted toward PM Snack meal totals, causing those meals to be incorrectly disallowed.
  • Fixed an issue where some children's names were missing on the Full Month Attendance Report, displaying only a child number instead — this occurred for children who had no middle name on file.
  • Fixed an issue where some sponsor users and providers were unable to print the enrollment form for certain children and received an error when accessing the forms from Child Information.

Sponsors of Centers

updated

  • A new configurable policy (L.011) now controls whether Meal Counts & Attendance with FRP report shows all recorded meals or only reimbursed meals, depending on each organization's preference.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where clicking the "Clear" button in the center search dropdown under Children > Manage Child Information caused the dropdown to stop working, requiring a full page refresh to restore it. The dropdown now resets properly and remains fully usable after clearing a search.
  • Fixed an issue where staff at sponsoring organizations would see a "Child Not Found" error when trying to view or approve eForms for certain children on the Approve & Renew page. Orphaned eForm records have been cleaned up, and future child deletions will now properly remove associated eForm records.
  • On April 14th, KidKare experienced a system-wide slowdown that made pages unresponsive or extremely slow to load, particularly affecting the center drop-down list, child information, claim list, and process claims. The issue has since been resolved.
  • Fixed an issue where the Receipt Verification page was not displaying all receipts for a center, showing fewer receipts than expected for the same center and date range.
  • Fixed an issue in Texas where printing a blank Income Eligibility Form (IEF) for an Adult Care Center incorrectly displayed the Child Care Center version of the form. Adult Care Centers in Texas will now see the correct Adult Care IEF in both English and Spanish.
  • Removed the extra instruction pages from the Texas Income Eligibility Forms.
  • Fixed an issue where Pending children that were never activated and were withdrawn within the claim month were not being disallowed on a claim.

Sponsored Centers

Fixed

  • Fixed an error that occurred when using the "Set IEF to Enrollment" button for children who had no current enrollment date recorded. The system now handles these cases gracefully — using the existing enrollment expiration date where available, and displaying a clear warning message for any children whose IEF Expiration Date could not be updated.
  • Fixed an issue where the At Risk section was missing from the Child Roster report when running the report for a specific center that serves At Risk meals and has At Risk children enrolled.
  • Fixed an issue where the Blank Attendance + Served Meals Worksheet generated from a center account incorrectly displayed children who had been withdrawn months ago. The report now uses the current date by default so only active or appropriately enrolled children appear.
  • Fixed an issue where Actual Quantities Served were not being automatically calculated for non-infant menus after attendance was recorded, even when the auto-calculate setting was turned on.
  • Fixed an issue where copy menu options were not remembered after switching between the Infant and Non-Infant tabs on the Menu Calendar page. Previously selected copy options will now be retained when switching between tabs.

Sponsored Providers

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue that prevented certain home providers from entering meals or adding menus, which displayed an error or a missing Save button when attempting to do so.
  • KidKare for Home Providers now displays fully in Spanish when the language is set to Spanish, with missing translations added across several areas including Configurations, My Participants, Messaging, Accounting, and Vehicles.

Sponsors of Homes

updated

  • The non-discrimination statement ("This institution is an equal opportunity provider.") has been added to the footer of several sponsor-side menu reports — including the Provider Planned Menu, Master Menu List, Provider My Menus, Cycle Menu, and Provider Menu Comments — ensuring these reports now meet CACFP regulatory requirements consistently across both printed and digital versions.

  • The Louisiana Family Day Care Home Food Program (FDCHFP-201A) Compliance Monitoring General Review Checklist has been updated to reflect the latest revision (Rev 09/25), including corrected wording and capitalization changes requested by the state.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where children whose enrollment expired on the current date were not appearing under either the "Expired" or "Expiring Soon" filters, creating a one-day window where those children were invisible to both statuses. Children expiring today will now correctly display as "Expired" with a red indicator.
  • Fixed an issue where the Sponsor Review Worksheet printed from Observer Mode was missing children with pending or expired enrollment statuses, even when the sponsor's settings were configured to include them. The report now correctly displays the same children as when printed through the standard Reports menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Child is Income Eligible for Tier 1" checkbox was being incorrectly auto-checked for all children enrolled in a Tier 1 provider home. This checkbox is now only auto-checked for a provider's own children when the provider qualifies for Tier 1 by income.
  • Check printing has been fixed so that checks now print at full size on standard 8.5 x 11 paper instead of being shrunk, and provider names and addresses now align correctly so that window envelopes can be used for mailing without printing separate labels.
  • Fixed an issue where certain sponsor users could only see a small number of claims on the List Claims page instead of the full list. The page now correctly defaults to showing all claims.
  • Fixed an issue where family daycare home providers with a mixed-age license were not receiving capacity errors during claim processing, even when the total number of children claimed exceeded the provider's overall maximum capacity.
  • Fixed an issue where sponsors using the List Claims page in KidKare could only see a small fraction of their providers' claims. The page now defaults to showing all claims across all submission batches, matching the behavior users expected.

Sponsors of Centers

updated

  • Sponsor administrators can now enable a new Policy D.33 that causes Child Rosters and Claims Rosters to display enrollment and eligibility information as it existed at the time a claim was processed, rather than always showing the most current data on file.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where some expired Enrollment Forms (EFs) and Income Eligibility Forms (IEFs) were not appearing on the Send Invitations screen, even when filters were set correctly, causing staff to potentially overlook forms that needed to be collected.
  • Fixed two issues affecting Open Enrolled (At-Risk/SFSP) centers: the Milk "Actual Quantity Required" field on the Center Daily Menu now calculates correctly, and the "Qty Needed Per Actual" column on the Menu Production Record now shows accurate values when sponsors print the report for these centers.
  • Fixed an issue where completed (Renewed) eForms were not appearing in the eForms Reporting section, and the "unfinished job" warning notice was not displaying automatically when report processing was pending.
  • Fixed a sorting issue on the eForms Approve & Renew page where, after approving one form (such as the Income Eligibility Form), the remaining form did not move to its correct position when sorting by FRP Basis. Forms now consistently sort in the expected order.
  • Fixed an issue where sponsors could not successfully save an Adjust Claim Count for a center after removing a meal type (such as Breakfast) from the center's approved meals. Sponsors can now save claim count adjustments without encountering an incorrect validation error.
  • Fixed an issue where parent-submitted eForms were not appearing in the Approve & Renew section for sponsors to review and activate children. Also corrected a data issue that caused eForm records to be lost when a center canceled an invitation after a parent had already submitted the form.
  • Fixed an issue where sponsor users were unable to successfully renew children's eForms using the Approve and Renew feature. Renewals now complete successfully.

Sponsored Centers

updated

  • The Income Eligibility Form (IEF) for Texas Child Care Centers has been updated to the March 2026 version in both English and Spanish, replacing the previous July 2022 version.

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where the Auto Save Actual Qty confirmation pop-up could not be closed after saving attendance when both the "Require Certification" and "Calculate Actual Quantities Served Automatically" settings were enabled at the same time. The quantity calculation now runs silently in the background after certification with no pop-up, and when removing attendance, the confirmation pop-up appears and can be properly closed or dismissed.

Homes - Parachute

Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where inactive guardians were incorrectly appearing in the Food Program's Manage Guardians tab. Only active guardians are now displayed.
