KidKare for Centers (Sponsors, Sponsored Centers, and Independent Centers)

FIXED: Users were unable to save fluid milk substitutions for dietary reasons when the Effective Date was set to the date the substitution was added. Users had to select either a future or a past date before they could save. This has been corrected, and fluid milk substitutions for dietary reason can now be saved with today's date.

KidKare for Center Sponsors

FIXED: The Transaction Date filter was overriding the Claim Month filter on the Receipt Verification page. Users were also unable to clear the Transaction Date filter. This has been resolved, and both filters should now work as intended.

KidKare for Centers (Sponsors, Sponsored Centers, and Independent Centers)

FIXED: Clicking Save when entering new formula types did nothing, and formula types were not saved. This has been resolved, and KidKare for Centers users can now add and save formula types.

Independent Centers

FIXED: Independent center users were not able to modify receipts after processing their claims. Since independent centers do not have the ability to un-process claims, this was preventing users from recording receipts for prior months. This has now been resolved.

All Food Program Users

UPDATED: We have updated Child Information to allow users to add substitute milk as a dietary option without the substitution being related to a milk allergy. For example, if a parent has a child who follows a vegan diet, the parent can submit a written request to the childcare provider (homes and/or centers) to provide the child with non-dairy milk. Check out the USDA FNS memo Nutrition Requirements for Fluid Milk and Substitutions in the CACFP, Questions and Answers for more information about serving milk substitutions to children.

Updated Income Eligibility Forms (Centers)

UPDATED: We have updated the following income eligibility forms for the 25-26 Fiscal Year:

  • Alabama
  • Nevada
  • Virginia (enrollment form also updated)
  • Wisconsin

Sponsors of Centers

UPDATED: We have updated the Texas State Claim Upload File to include Number of Subsidized Children in the file. Previously, sponsors operating in Texas had to manually enter this data in TXUNPS after uploading the initial claim file.
FIXED: In some cases, when a sponsor reset permissions for a center admin, they were unable to save the updated permissions.

FIXED: Milk Allergy Effective and Expiration dates were missing in the Child Information Allergies/Conditions tab when a user set the Milk Allergy toggle to Yes. This fix also applies to independent centers.

FIXED: Some vendors were not showing for centers when adding receipts, even when sponsors set the vendor to All Centers.

FIXED: In some cases, sponsors were unable to run the 5 Day Attendance Report from a mobile internet browser.

KidKare for Centers: Updates to Receipt Verification

UPDATE: With the upcoming release of Receipt Capture functionality in Parachute, we have made updates to the receipt flow in KidKare for Centers.

    • All CACFP expenses now must be tied to a Claim Month. This is to provide an improved audit trail for both centers and sponsors. Claim Month can be set independently of transaction dates. This update does not impact the functionality of the Milk Audit.
    • Manage Verify Receipts has been moved to the Center Management section and renamed to Receipt Verification. This is where you add, manage, and verify receipts for your centers.
    • Receipts entered or uploaded to Parachute appear on the Receipt Verification page as they are recorded.
    • We have created a dedicated receipt review page for sponsors and independent childcare centers that compiles all receipt data from your centers into a single, filterable place.
    • Sponsors can now assign several statuses to reviewed receipts: Not Reviewed, Under Review, Accepted, Rejected, or Revision Requested.
    • Sponsors can now see the source for receipts submitted by their centers: Itemized Entry, Quick Entry, or Receipt Capture. Centers must have an active Parachute subscription to use Receipt Capture for their CACFP expenses.
    • Sponsors can now approve receipts in bulk directly from the Verify Receipts page.
    • Receipts added via Receipt Capture in Parachute are automatically checked and flagged for potential issues, such as duplicates, illegible receipts. handwriting, or pixel changes.
    • Duplicates flagged by the system can be viewed on a dedicated screen for all duplicates. Simply click the Duplicate link in the Detected Issue column. This only applies to receipts uploaded to Parachute with Receipt Capture.

Sponsored Centers

FIXED: The Submit Claim button was not showing in KidKare when sponsor users go to re-submit a claim.

Sponsored Homes

FIXED: (Parachute) In some cases, parents were unable to message providers, even though the provider was still Active.

FIXED: (Parachute) Parents were displaying multiple times in the list of parents to Message.

Sponsors of Homes

UPDATED: The Permanent Agreement TX-H1542 report has been added to KidKare for sponsors operating in Texas.

FIXED: Some sponsors were seeing an error message when analyzing claim capacity in KidKare for claim months that have already passed.

FIXED: The Forms Expirations boxes in the Provider Information Other tab was missing when the policies requiring inspection dates were not set to Y.
FIXED: The Special Eval Indicator field was missing from the Home Visit Status Report.

FIXED: In some cases, the Claimed Foods & Attendance report was printing blank even when meals and attendance has been recorded for the selected month.

Sponsors of Centers

UPDATED: Income frequency is now required on Income Edibility Forms in eForms when income is provided.

UPDATED: Sponsors can now choose to require centers to record actual quantities served for only Non-Infants or only Infants. Previously, enabling actual quantities required actual quantities to be recorded for both Non-Infants and Infants. The new policy is M.01a1 Record Quantities Served - Infants. Policy M.01 has been renamed M.01 Record Quantities Served - Non-Infants.

FIXED: When the Capacity Waiver toggle in the Manage Center Information License/Schedule tab was set to Yes, the capacity waiver was applying to all meals instead of specific meals. Sponsors can now select specific meals to which a capacity waiver applies.

FIXED: Printing the Monthly Paid Meal Count by Age Group with the Licenses Consolidated option enabled still printed two separate reports instead of the expected singular report.
