Sponsors of Homes

- The 2025-2026 Texas area eligibility school data has been updated so sponsors can use current school information when determining tiering for their day care home.

- Monitors can once again complete desk reviews that require the provider's electronic signature. Previously, clicking Complete on the Finalize step appeared to do nothing and the provider never received the review to sign. The review now finalizes and reaches the provider, and if the signature request can't be sent, the monitor sees a clear error message.
- Fixed an issue on the Manage Reviews screen where, with Payment Method set to All, some searches showed an empty list even though online reviews existed for that filter. All matching reviews now appear as expected.
- Home providers with active Parachute subscriptions who have been Removed by their Food Program sponsor are now prompted at login to transfer their data to an independent account. Providers can continue to access Food Program for up to 60 days past their removal date to allow for final claims processing. After that point, they are prevented from proceeding further without transferring their subscription to an independent account.
Sponsors of Centers

- The Review Form for sponsors of Texas centers now includes the questions on the current TDA Center Review form (H1606, revised March 2026). New questions cover the person interviewed and their title, meal counts, a civil rights enrollment and participation chart, sponsor meal service details, and expected completion dates for corrective action.
- The Louisiana Department of Education's Compliance Monitoring General Review Checklist and Financial Review Checklist in KidKare have been replaced with the new LDOE versions (Rev. 08/26).
- On the Receipts entry and edit screens, the Save, Save/Add Another, and Cancel buttons now stay pinned in place as you scroll, so you can save a receipt from anywhere on a long form without scrolling back to the top. If a save fails, the page now scrolls to the message that explains why.

- KidKare now follows Policies D.17 and D.17b for child enrollment dates. When a sponsor turns these policies on to make the Current Enrollment Date and Enrollment Expiration Date optional, sponsors and their centers can add or edit a child and save without entering either date.
- The Import Attendance Data screen now lists the required scan settings: 600 DPI, black and white, letter size, 100% scaling, and TIFF format. If you upload a scan with the wrong settings, you now get a clear message explaining what is wrong and how to rescan, instead of a generic error.
Note: 400 DPI scans still scan as they have previously, but 600 DPI is the recommended resolution. - Sponsors who have turned off the "Check IEF Expiration" policy (F.8) in Manage Policies will no longer see children listed under Expired IEF in Beacon Verify's Missing Forms. Programs that don't use IEFs, such as Head Start, no longer get flags they can't clear. Sponsors with the policy turned on will see no change.
- When a sponsor observes centers and adds receipts, KidKare now remembers each center's last selected tab (Quick Entry or Itemized Entry) separately, so switching between centers no longer carries one center's choice over to another. Centers with no saved choice now open to Quick Entry by default.
- Fixed an issue with the California state claim file format. California sponsors can upload them to the CDE portal again without getting an error.
- On a child's Oversight tab, choosing "This Child Only" for an Income Eligibility Form (IEF) now stays selected instead of switching back to "Include Siblings." When you evaluate and save, the IEF is applied only to that child and is no longer added to siblings you chose to leave out.
- Fixed an issue where child, guardian, and attendance changes made in the HX app were not reaching KidKare for some sponsors, with no error shown. These updates now sync to KidKare correctly.
