From the menu to the left, click ![language-settings-4](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/language-settings-4.png?width=37&height=40&name=language-settings-4.png). The Settings page opens. 2. In the General Settings section, you can: - Click **Would you like to require center staff to certify the accuracy of attendance when saving Attendance & Meal Counts in KidKare?** to add a pop up after they save meals and attendance to confirm their entries are true to the best of their knowledge. - Click **Do you want to remind users (Daily Menu/Menu Calendar User Interface) if the actual quantities served are less than the required quantities?** to trigger a visual alert for your users.  (This only applies if policy M.01 is set to **Yes**) - Click **Edit Welcome Letter Template** to edit the email that your center directors receive when you create their new KidKare account. 3. [**Send Welcome Messages to Your Centers**](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/centers/enroll-center?hsLang=en#center-welcome-letter)   --- ### Create a Test Center You can create one test center and use it to train yourself, your staff, and your centers at no cost to you. 1. From the menu to the left, click **Center Management**. 2. Click **Enroll Center**. 3. In the **Center Info** section, click the **Center Number** box and enter an identifying number for this center. You can enter up to four (4) digits in this box. Then, click the **Center Name** box and enter the center's name. Ensure you include the word **Test** in the center's name. 4. In the **Primary Contact Info** section, click the **Email Address** box and enter your email address. 5. Complete the remaining required fields and the remaining optional fields, as needed. For details, see [**Enroll Centers**](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/centers/enroll-center?hsLang=en).   --- ### Customize the Center Welcome Letter You can customize the welcome letter sent to your centers when you first enroll them in your sponsorship. The KidKare Welcome Letter includes the following information: - A brief introductory message. - A link to allow the center admin to log in and set a password. - A link to the [**Introduction to KidKare for Sponsored Centers**](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/centers/introduction-to-kidkare-for-sponsored-centers?hsLang=en) video. - A link to the [**KidKare Features for Sponsored Centers**](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/hubfs/KidKare%20Features%20for%20Sponsored%20Centers.pdf?hsLang=en) PDF. - A link to the **[KidKare Knowledge Base for Centers.](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/centers/centers?hsLang=en)** - A signature. To customize the letter: 1. The Settings page opens. 2. In the **General Settings** section, click **Edit Welcome Letter Template**. Click **Edit**. 4. Specify which welcome letter you are sending. The letter marked with ![](https://dyzz9obi78pm5.cloudfront.net/app/image/id/60900fd46e121c955b60ba21/n/ep-enable-template.png) is the active one. To enable the other template, click ![slider-btn-Jun-27-2025-09-40-04-0672-PM](https://knowledge.kidkare.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/slider-btn-Jun-27-2025-09-40-04-0672-PM.png?width=24&height=40&name=slider-btn-Jun-27-2025-09-40-04-0672-PM.png). Note that the slider turns green and the other template's slider turns red. You can only have one active welcome letter at a time. 5. Update the **Subject** and **From** boxes, as needed. Variables you can use to fill in certain information are listed at the bottom of the editor (SponsorName, CenterPhone, and so on). To add one of these variables to your text, type **@** and begin typing the variable to use. A list of available items displays as you type, so you can select the variable you need. For example, to add the provider's name to the Subject, you would type **@CenterName** in the **Subject box**. 6. Click the first **Message** box and customize your messaging. Just as you did in **Step 5**, you can use variables to complete certain information, such as the center's name. 7. Click the **Signature** box to customize your signature. 8. Click **Add Attachment** to add any attachments needed. 9.
